Hi Gang,
Thought I'd join the crowd popping their heads around the door to offer seasons greetings!
A good year for me, very busy, no recession, not good prices but hey! bills are paid for another year.
Married life is good, no probs :-) Some of you lot should try it! :-)
There was a potentially sticky bit earlier in the year when mrs Martin's eldest son got married, a few shenanigans on top table seating and "not having my photo taken with him/her/them" type arguments but the day went well really. You'd think 7 years would be enough water under the bridge but hey ho! if people want to be stuck in the mud let them I say :-)
My eldest D has started house hunting with her long term b/f so it might be one down, one to go soon! (the opposite stance to most on here sadly :-( )
We've added two kittens to the menangerie (sic) so thats 3 cats and one dog now.
It's one year and two weeks today since i gave up smoking :-p yay
Simes will be pleased to hear that I'm not going on holiday until at least next year!
To anyone just starting out on this gut wrenching time called divorce, I can promise you that things eventually do get better :-)

Now that's a coincidence. I was just thinking about the time you wisely advised someone that financial settlements were too complex for a calculator. You have been proved right.
I'm afraid as far as marriage is concerned I've been there and got the t shirt but I'm glad it's working for you. Obviously you are taking too many holidays because you are sorely missed here.

Hello there and a very happy Christmas
I think you were the initial "respondent" to my very first post on the finiancial board !- and very helpful it turned out to be...
Happily divorced now and managed to avoid getting trapped again shortly after decree absolute -lol- guess I'm destined to remain a happy single divorcee for a while to come ...

Most who rush into it second time fail and 60% of second marriages with children fail so I think it's best to take your time. I am.
Glad it's all working out. I had a really good year too. 2010 will be even better.
