Subject: Clean Break Order
Posted By Bubbles36 on 14-01-2010
My divorce finally came through today yipeeee!! I was the Petitioner and got a costs order against husband for him to pay my costs.... in the meantime I have had a letter from his solicitor, asking me to sign a consent order (clean break order) which I have no objections too, but I don't want to be the one that has to pay for it.. I am presuming if I sign this and send it back to his solicitors, he will pay his solicitors and they will send it to the court?
There is just one paragraph that worries me and I am not sure if that is standard:-
There be no order as to costs insofar as this application and the negotiations ancillary thereto are concerned ((does anyone know what this means in English?)
HELP PLEASE?
