Subject: CSA payments

I noticed a while ago that CSA stopped taking payments from my account...last payment was 15 July
I normally transfer CSA payments to another account where I have the DD setup fro CSA. My standing order keeps transferring the amount regularly.
CSA last payment taken via DD was 15 July 09. I contacted CSA via a letter to state the above in September 09 and have not had any replies and the payments are still sitting in my account. I have got the bank to check the DD is ok and active and they state yes and confirmed that CSA have not requested any amounts. Seems bank side is ok.
I'm now wondering whether Ex wife due to alleged assault on my son in April 09 has used this excuse to stop wanting the maintenenace. As I understand, if she uses this excuse (violence) then she will not lose any benefits.
What should I do now?...currently the amount is still being accumulated to the account and I'm regularly topping up the account with money.

Just to add the CSA have been taking money via DD for 3 years now without any problems.

I have always provided for my kids though at the moment I have not been allowed to see them for 10 months now due violence... But that's not an exuse for me not to provide...

I think it's an excellent excuse not to provide, but that's my opinion and I will leave this now, saying we don't really understand each other on this.

I know where you are coming from Captain. If it was linked maybe money would mean being able to see kids more via amicable relationship.
At the moment EXs take the money and don't let you see kids and worse still try to make sure you end in jail.
But the kids arn't to blame for non complaince....so they shouldn't suffer unneccessarily. Hopefully when they are older they will know that I have always tried to be there for them and provided them financially.

Well, not just anger, my point is that nrp men have no bargaining levers. Divorce is upon request, along with financial support and denial of contact and conduct is not a factor. I argue as I like to get on with women but the contract is unfair.
Definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over expecting the result to be different. That is the type of settlements courts have been dishing out and why the divorce rate is low these days. Sensible people avoid court like the plague. Guess that's why I've been 40 times.
